London workshops for 2011 begin!

I am now working on the list of classes to be taught in London in 2011. Beginning in March, we will kick off with the ever popular Head and Hands workshop which will be followed by a two day Bride and Groom workshop. The design chosen for the first class is this modern bride in a beautiful gown, the detail on the dress is a new technique which I haven't shown in my classes before. The groom in this picture has no hair and is also wearing the Grey Spirit Kilt...just in case you didn't notice him in the background! Haha! However, in class the groom will certainly be given a head of hair and he will also be wearing some trousers. I don't think the Kilt is so popular in England so decided that trousers were the better option. To book a place in this class, go to Extra Icing website.

Teaching is so much fun!

I've just returned from teaching my last London classes for 2010...but have no fear, I'll be back early 2011 with a string of new dates and new projects. After having a HUGE coffee and getting my feet up for a little while, I decided I'd best catch up with the mail. This picture was sent to me by Marie Taylor, one of the students from my Florida classes. I think Marie was trying to take a picture of her beautiful Bride and Groom but perhaps got more than she bargained for. Thank you for sending it to me Marie...it made me smile thinking back to the classes and I look forward to a return in 2011. Happy 3rd Birthday my precious boy!

My little man is 3 today! Daniel was looking a bit shell shocked with all that was going on around him...balloons, decorations, PRESENTS! Yippeeee! It just seems like yesterday when he was born. How time flies when you're having fun....and Daniel has given us plenty of that. Although his vocabulary stretches to "bye!" and "whassat?" and his little legs aren't taking him anywhere just yet (although he can get across the room quicker than a commando).....this little man has progressed so much and continues to amaze everyone with his determination. He will be making new friends as he is going to mainstream nursery after the school holidays but will still have 2 days in the week where he will attend his Special Needs nursery, keeping up with all the friends he has made this year. There are still a few holidays left so I will be making sure that he gets plenty of "granny" time before he goes off to be a big boy!

Daniel loves Timmy Time....so how could I refuse him! Happy, happy birthday darling Daniel. Granny loves you to the moon and back again! xx
