Well....it caught up with me finally. There's no hiding from it really is there, so bring it on! I can kick and scream all the while but it won't change anything. I just need to replace some make up brushes with trowels instead and everything will be fine and dandy! The snow is falling heavily which means that my day has already been dictated....I ain't going nowhere fast! I will spend it pampering myself and cooking something lovely to enjoy whilst sitting in front of a soppy movie followed by something light hearted to make sure I don't go to bed with tears streaming down my much older face!! hahaha! The cake I am holding was made for me by my beautiful daughter, Vicky. I was not allowed to take part in any of it so this picture was taken when I was seeing the cake for the first time. Vicky is a nurse and by no means very artistic so for her to do this for me was absolutely amazing. It was a chocolate cake too which made it all the more amazing! I had a lovely weekend with my family and today...my actual birthday....I will enjoy switching off and chilling out! Thank you to so many people who have inundated my Facebook with kind messages. I am overwhelmed by your love and support and I cannot say enough words to express my gratitude....but I do thank you and appreciate you all.
